BULKEX: Accuweigh to show large bag packaging machine
Accuweigh-Budpak will display a large bag packaging machine at Bulkex 2009 -- ESSE GI’s F1200 -- which measures seven metres high and weighs up to five tonnes. The company will also exhibit a DTS80 doser.
“The Italian manufactured F1200 is the result of extensive experience and ongoing research by ESSE GI and comprises a quality, feature-rich machine with minimal maintenance needs,” said Gary Bryant, national marketing manager of distributor Salter Holdings Group.
The F1200 packaging machine has been designed to work with several different types of films in 1200 mm widths. The machine can be fitted with either weighing or volumetric (dosing) input feed for versatility in working with a diverse range of products including stockfeed, pet food, seeds, grains, fertilisers, mulch, and bark.
ESSE GI’s F1200 has a hydraulic film reel lifting device that operates down to floor level, only requiring a new film reel to be placed behind the machine.
“Silently and swiftly, the F1200 lifts and locks the new reel firmly into operating position. No manual effort or external lifting devices are required to change the film reels,” said Mr Bryant.
A full colour touch screen provides the operator with graphical representation of all selectable operating parameters, while a film perforation device provides minute air holes in bags when packaging inert materials to allow bags to be easily flattened and palletised.
An air evacuation device is available when packaging food products to ensure excess air is removed from the bag during the sealing process, and automatic bag seat adjustment maintains a constant working height with the output conveyor for different length bags.
A bag bottom vibrator device assists with filling products that need to be settled during filling, while an optional bag shaker allows the F1200 to package products that require extreme product settling during the filling process.
Accuweigh is the exclusive Australian agent for the ESSE GI range of products. The company has branches in all mainland states providing complete after sales service and support.
