With barely three weeks to the Australian Bulk Handling Awards, organizers are urging members of the bulk handling community to confirm their attendance.

Awards night 2008.

“The gala Awards night on November 12th in Sydney will be a great, fun night out for bulk handlers and their spouses and partners,” said Megan Rogulski, business development manager for Informa, organizer of the event and publisher of Australian Bulk Handling Review.
“It’s also the night when the bulk handling industry recognizes the efforts and achievements of its hardest workers, with eight awards to be handed out over the course of the evening.”
The Awards night is being held at Doltone House in Pyrmont on the shores of Sydney Harbour.
Besides a lavish meal and wines, attendees will enjoy entertainment from the hilarious MC Paul Martell.
While individuals can book their own place at the event, Megan Rogulski emphasized that the Awards provided a handy forum for companies wishing to reward staff or clients via a table booking of 10.
“As a very tough year winds down, companies can use the Awards to say thank you to their loyal staff. They can also use the event to entertain key contacts and clients, while the sponsored table option adds some branding and signage to their presence,” she said.
The awards that will be distributed over the night comprise:
• Bulk handling facility of the year
• Innovative technology
• Dust control technology, application or practice
• Environmental project of the year
• Best practice in OH&S
• Excellence in transport and/or conveying
• Supplier of the year
