Seven sponsors announced for Bulk Handling Awards
Opportunities for sponsorship at the 7th annual Australian Bulk Handling Awards are filling fast. Organisers have secured support from seven major players serving the bulk handling sector. Only three categories remain open for sponsorship.
This year’s event will be held on the 7th of November at Doltone House, a prime foreshore location in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.
Peter Delbridge, Australian Bulk Handling Review national sales manager, said “this is wonderful news for the awards and a sound commercial proposition for sponsors.
“The awards couldn’t happen without the sponsors’ far-sighted support. In turn, the awards gather a supremely focused audience of bulk handlers together.”
First-time sponsors for 2012 are QUBE Bulk and Schenck Process. QUBE Bulk is sponsoring Best Practice in OH&S, while Schenck is backing the Excellence in the use of Gears, Motors or Drives award.
On board as sponsors for this year’s awards is Laing O'Rourke that is backing the Innovative Technology award; Integrated Bulk Systems is on board for the Transport and Conveying award; Aerobelt Australia is sponsoring the Environmental project of the Year award; Tenova Takraf will sponsor Supplier of the Year award and Bonfiglioli is champagne welcome sponsor for the night.
Delbridge said “to join these sponsors, bulk handlers should contact me at Peter.Delbridge@BulkHandling.com.au or on 0400 700 765.
The Australian Society for Bulk Solids Handling (ASBSH) also supports the event. Professor Alan Roberts and Associate Professor Peter Wypych will be on hand to present the organisation’s two personal awards – the ASBSH Award for an outstanding contribution to the field of bulk solids handling and the AW Roberts Award to an outstanding engineer of 35 or under.
Any company or individual may nominate for an award. Nominations should be in the applicant’s own words and should consist of a fairly brief write-up, plus some photos or illustrations. To discuss a nomination, contact Charles Macdonald at: Charles.Macdonald@informa.com.au
