Specialised Belting focuses on sidewall conveyor systems. Its S-Wall belt is offered in a range of standard and reinforced configurations, which use polyester fabrics to cross-stabilise the base belt.

ContiTech business unit manager, Hans-Jrgen Duensing, said the acquisition will grow ContiTech’s market share, predicting further investment in plant upgrades.

“The purchase of this profitable and established company is strategically important and opens additional opportunities for us in the growing worldwide market of steep inclined and vertical conveying.”

“We are not just taking over the business operations, but the production as well which we plan to further expand. We also have for the future the new production technology to produce particularly temperature resistant corrugated sidewall belts.”

An assembly line for complete belts at Specialised Belting’s facility in Norfolk, England was recently upgraded. A computer controlled machine to roughen the base belt and increase bond strengths was installed, as well as a hot vulcanised sidewall belt assembly line.
