Organisers have issued a call for papers for the world’s largest international conference on particle and powder technology, Partec, which will be held from April 23-25 in Germany, along with the Powtech and TechnoPharm trade fairs.

The executive committee of Partec, led by distinguished particle expert Professor Jonathan Seville, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Surrey, has asked for abstracts by June 15, 2012.

Papers should cover topics like particle formulation and characterisation, measurement methods and equipment, and processes and applications for particles of any kind or size. The event will also cover aerosols and nanotechnology, as well as major industry sectors like food and coatings.

Partec will take place simultaneously with Powtech 2013, a leading exhibition of mechanical processing technologies and instrumentation, and TechnoPharm 2013, an international trade fair for life-science process technologies, at NrnbergMesse.

Powtech focuses on processes for conveying, size reduction, milling, screening, mixing, and granulating powders or bulk solids which are required for the production of chemicals and plastics as well as areas like food and pharmaceuticals. It also covers topics like explosion protection.

Preparations for the exhibitions are already well underway, with organisers claiming that seventy percent of the exhibition space for both events already rented. “We are very pleased about our exhibitors’ early decision,” said Willy Viethen, director exhibitions at NrnbergMesse. “And I am sure we will still be able to find favorable booth locations for exhibitors who contact the exhibition team now.”
