Case Construction Equipment has added its largest wheel loader to date to its F Series range, the 27t 1121F. Another fresh model, the 24.6t 1021F, replaces the previous 921E wheel loader.

The 1021F and 1121F are suited to quarry and aggregate applications and any work site where fast loading is a priority, according to Case product manager, Kevin Pritchard.

The 1021F has an operating load of more than 8t. The larger 1121F has an operating load of around 9t, together with the 4.8m³ bucket, for high productivity, Pritchard said.

“The bucket itself has also been redesigned, providing increased penetration into the pile or face, allowing faster fill and shorter cycle times.”

According to Pritchard, the 1121F and 1021F loaders also increase productivity by retaining more of the load while travelling.

“The bucket carry position, combined with the Case Ride Control System, means less material spills during load and carry operations, which adds up to better efficiency over the course of a day’s work.”

The new 1021F and 1121F both have powerful nine litre engines cooled by Case’s cooling cube system, Pritchard explained.

“Rather than traditional overlapping radiators, the cooling system is box-shaped, with each radiator forming a side. This results in a very efficient, unobstructed air flow through the cooling cores and makes cleaning with the reversible fan very effective.

“An extended oil replacement interval, thanks to the constant fluid temperatures provided by the design of the cooling cube, makes these machines even more cost effective to run.”

Other new features across the F Series wheel loader range include a new dual-mode shutdown capability designed to improve fuel economy and monitor vital engine components. Using the fuel-saver mode, the operator can limit the time the machine will idle. The desired shutdown time can be set in five minute increments.

Pritchard said “The cab offers an unobstructed view to both edges of the bucket or attachment, while a wide window and sloping hood provide clear vision to the rear.”

A new rear-view, wide-angle camera with an adjustable colour monitor is available on the F Series. The camera option nearly eliminates blind spots and is ideal for jobs that require operating around other machines or workers.

According to Pritchard, “The F Series wheel loaders offer best-in-class rear visibility and a panoramic view to the front and sides for enhanced operator confidence and productivity.”

As in previous models, the F Series wheel loaders include an advanced instrument cluster to enable operators to adjust various functions without relying on a service technician. The F Series models also offer ergonomically placed controls and a new heated cloth seat with seven adjustment modes.
