ContiTech to show new pipe conveyor at Bauma

ContiTech’s MegaPipes pipe conveyor has an external diameter of up to 900mm - double the capacities of conventional closed-trough belts. Additionally, the MegaPipes conveyor can carry crushed ore downstream of the primary crusher and bulky goods in industrial applications.

Siemens gearless drive systems commissioned at Antapaccay

Siemens recently commissioned a gearless belt conveyor system at Xstrata’s Antapaccay copper mine in Peru – the company’s first large scale installation outside of Germany. Siemens also supplied electrical equipment for three grinding mills at the mine, all of which run off gearless drive systems.
